Hey, I'm Lauren.

I'm a life coach, living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) since 1979 and found my way out of food and alcohol addiction (sober since 2021). If you struggle with any of the above, I got you. I can help you out of pain and show you how to live an amazing life.

Feeling alone? Connecting with others in your T1D journey helps overcome isolation.

Feeling alone living with T1D? Sometimes the answer is really simple.

Reach out to someone and tell them.

I used to be angry, bitter, and pissed off about having T1D. Yet I was afraid to tell people that’s how I felt. It was such an isolating feeling!

Flash to this morning, and my heart felt unusually full. What could possibly be causing this amazing feeling? What IS the feeling?

CONNECTION. I was feeling this amazing sense of connection.

I realized that through AA, coaching, JDRF, and my friends and family, I’ve developed some amazing, authentic, real, life-changing daily connections and communities, where we provide each other unconditional support through our shared experiences and pain.

Through these communities, I’ve learned how to ASK for help (something that used to be really hard for me). And by receiving help and working on myself, I can show UP for them when they need me.

So if you’re feeling alone, reach out and connect with someone. We were meant for it.
