Lately, I’ve realized how little I think about my Diabetes. I make sure to stay healthy and keep my blood sugars in check, but it no longer occupies my every thought.
There was a time when I obsessed with it.
I would catastrophize every high blood sugar reading, envisioning the worst-case scenario. I would constantly compare myself to others, wondering why I couldn’t get it together. It was the last thing I thought before going to bed, and the first thing I thought when I woke up.
Now, I’m focused on other things in my life.
I’m invested in dating, maintaining sobriety, healing my shoulder, practicing meditation, managing my emotions, spending time with friends, and truly embracing life 🙌🏼.
This is what happens when you work with me. I teach you how to change your thoughts about your diabetes, so you can learn to focus on other things in your life besides T1D.
You will learn how to filter out unnecessary thinking (catastrophizing, beating yourself up, etc) from necessary thinking (T1D management). When you learn how to change your mindset, you create so much space for living and for focusing on whatever it is that you want.
Interestingly, due to the extra space I’ve created in my own life, individuals without diabetes have sought my guidance. As a result, I’ve expanded my business to assist clients who don’t have T1D.
So, if that’s you, and you’re feeling stuck in life, I’m here to help you too.
