Change your energy, change your life… Or just your day.

Change your energy, change your life.

Or just your day.

I learned “change your energy change your life” from Joe Dispenza, an author in the fields of neuroscience, epigenetics, and quantum physics. He popularized this concept to emphasize the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and physical bodies. He says that by taking responsibility for our thoughts and emotions (energy), we have the power to create positive changes in our lives through changing our energy.

This line has been stuck in my head, as I’ve been doing his daily meditation (and really enjoying it!).

As I heard him say it this morning, a thought occurred to me.

While of course, this applies to changing your life, this also applies to changing your day. There are very simple and easy things you can do to change your energy and reset your day at any time.

Feeling stuck, annoyed, grumpy, or just having a bad day? Change your energy and you can reset your day at ANY time!

Here are a few ideas:

👉🏼 Get moving – my teacher says “Movement is magic”. Take a walk, or pump those arms, or get up and dance.

👉🏼 Put on some music – Change those brain waves and listen to some inspiring music. Garth Brooks always does the trick for me.

👉🏼 Celebrate a win – think of one thing you did well in the last week. Were you there for a friend? Step outside your comfort zone? Kind to a stranger? Even the smallest win counts.

👉🏼 Gratitude – think of one thing you’re grateful for. Creamer in your coffee? That’s mine right now!

👉🏼 Change a thought – What’s on your mind? Are you annoyed? Can you turn it around? I’m annoyed my shoulder hurts. I’m excited for the chiropractor because I get to lie down for 20 minutes and pretend it’s a massage and I’ll feel better after.

The smallest shift can make the biggest difference.
